This Joe Yee 501 lure is a fish catching machine and has several billfish scrape and bites to show for it. regardless, the head is still very clear and in great shape. The Magenta tint of the resin with reflective insert obviously sent some marlin wild. The red shaky eyes are very rare making this 501 a very special lure to own.
It is labeled on the bottom and was purchased new from Melton Tackle. Skirted outer in purple with black bars and blue glitter over blue-pink inner using premium skirts. This arrangement gets eaten all over the world and is deadly.
The Joe Yee 501 has the unique ability to appear to accelerate away from Billfish. This swimming action closely simulates a Tuna attempting to escape a predator. If fishing for multiple Marlin species, the 501 is top choice as the one large lure in your pattern. Excellent rough water lure.
This would make a great collector piece or use again in hunting big marlin and trophy Mahi Mahi.
